The authority of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Lagos has clinch a newly established petroleum liquid gas station located at 6b, Oluyeye Street in Mafoluku as a result of non-compliance with environmental/public health protocols by the gas station.
The Head of Department (HOD) of the Environmental Services of the Local Government Sanitarian, Akeem Adeoye said the act was taken in the interest of public health and safety as the supervisor of the station was unable to provide some vital documents in regard to the approval of the premises.

The HOD, therefore, warned liquid petroleum gas retailers in the local government area to comply with regulations and safety precautions which include obtaining valid documents, possession of approved fire extinguisher, spacious environment to avoid combustion, and putting other vital measures in place in order to save the community from fire incident.

He said the Local Government Environmental Services would soon be out to prosecute those who have turned the environment to illegal markets, automobile workshops, and parks.
